Calculate first, then approve.
YourValidator is a planning calculator for marketing budgets. The product is available for acquisition as a whole: source code, rights, domains and test suite. The acquirer runs it on its own infrastructure, under its own name, for itself and its partners.
Content
Planning calculation
Forward calculation, target back-calculation and budget simulation with saturation, cross-channel effects, break-even and customer lifetime value.
Operation
Own infrastructure
All calculations run in the browser. No server is required for calculation data. Data exchange via JSON.
Use
White label and embed
Own name and own design, embedding for partners, integration into own products.
ScopeYourValidator is a planning calculation based on the user's own assumptions. It is not a marketing mix model, not proof of effectiveness and not a forecast. It shows which assumptions lead to which result.
01
The principle
A rule from the insurance industry, applied to marketing budgets.
In insurance, a risk is assessed before it is underwritten. First the calculation, then the decision.
YourValidator applies this principle to the approval of marketing budgets. The assumptions behind a plan are entered openly: channels, costs, conversion rates, margin, ramp-up time, saturation. The calculation shows what follows from these assumptions and when a budget breaks even. If an assumption changes, the effect is visible immediately.
YourValidator therefore sits upstream of attribution and marketing mix modeling. It replaces neither these methods nor CRM systems or dashboards. Their figures feed in as assumptions.
02
Why companies run it in-house
Typical uses at the acquirer.
- Planning before budget approval: strategies and budget allocations are calculated before money is committed.
- A common calculation basis: business units, countries or brands plan with the same calculation logic and comparable results.
- Presentation and alignment: scenarios can be changed live, internally between marketing management and executive management as well as in discussions with agencies.
- Provision for partners: partner agencies use the embed version, operated on the acquirer's infrastructure.
- Integration into own products: the calculation core can be integrated into existing platforms and data flows.
03
Calculation core
What is calculated.
- Forward calculation: from budget through reach, leads and customers to contribution margin
- Target back-calculation: which inputs a given result target requires under the chosen assumptions
- Budget simulation: alternative allocations compared side by side
- Saturation: based on the Hill function, with potential per channel
- Campaign channels: time-limited activities such as trade fairs or events, online and offline
- Cross-channel effects: halo effects between channels
- Break-even and customer lifetime value: when a budget pays off, including beyond the first order
- PDF report: results and assumptions in one document
| Level | Input | Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Entry level | Known key figures such as budget, costs and conversion rates | A quick result without training, suitable for meetings and workshops |
| Detail level | Parameters per channel: saturation, potential, cross-channel effects, timing | Every assumption is visible and can be checked individually |
The default values supplied are unverified reference values. They are intended as a starting point and should be replaced with the user's own data.
04
Architecture and data
How the system works.
| Component | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Calculation core | HTML and JavaScript. All calculations run in the user's browser. There is no backend for calculations. |
| Data storage | Local in the browser (localStorage). Export and import as JSON, which also serves as an interface to the acquirer's own systems. |
| AI functions (optional) | Only with the user's own API key, called directly from the browser at the chosen provider (Anthropic, OpenAI or Gemini). The content submitted is transmitted to that provider. The functions can be disabled. |
| Third-party components | Chart.js (MIT License) and d3 (ISC License). Can be included locally. License notices are retained. |
| Operation | On the acquirer's own web server or intranet, as a single file or modular. The embed version provides the tool to partners via iframe. |
The data protection assessment of the operation lies with the acquirer, as it depends on the acquirer's infrastructure and use.

Deliverables and documentation
What is handed over.
- Source code: all versions (German, English, embed) with all rights, as far as transferable, as of the handover date
- Test suite: 1,443 automated tests that can be used to check the acquirer's own changes, plus a self-contained verification package that prospective buyers can run themselves before signing
- Domains: yourvalidator.de, .com, .net, .org, .io and mystrategyplan.me
- Documentation: guides, a systematic description of the calculation logic, technical data sheet
- Test report: with a separate cross-check using independent test scripts and a SHA-256 checksum per file
- Blueprint for an enterprise version: architecture and implementation plan for expanding the product into an enterprise solution, with a standalone calculation core, a versioned plan format, multi-client workspaces for agencies, verifiable handover to corporate clients and interfaces for sign-in, storage and AI agents. Organized in phases, each with an acceptance criterion.
- License notices for the third-party components used
- Support during the handover as agreed
Before signingThe verification package, data sheet, test report and blueprint are available to prospective buyers under a non-disclosure agreement.
06
Acquisition
YourValidator is available for acquisition as a whole.
The product is finished, in operation and backed by a test suite. What it needs now is an owner with sales channels and access to customers. YourValidator will therefore be transferred in full to one company.
Acquisition
- Source code, test suite, documentation and blueprint
- All rights to the code, as far as transferable
- All domains
- Free use, further development and commercialization by the acquirer
Alternative: exclusive license
- Sole, perpetual right to use the source code
- No further licenses to other companies
- For buyers who prefer licensing to purchasing
StatusThere are no existing license or customer agreements. Third-party components: Chart.js (MIT) and d3 (ISC). The binding terms are set out in the contract.
Terms and documents on request, under a non-disclosure agreement.
Next step
The tool is available in the browser without registration. For questions about the license, the data sheet or the test report, a short message is all it takes.
